We're incredibly excited to announce a major upgrade to KinKeeper – and this one's all about making your health information easier to manage! Here's the big news: Premium subscribers can now import their Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) directly into the app from over 30,000 providers nationwide.
This is our initial launch, and there are a few things to keep in mind:
- Health record integration is tricky: It takes some time to get it right, but we're confident we're on the right track. Our vendor is top-notch, and they're helping us make sure everything works smoothly.
- Not all data is available yet: Most information is available to you, but we can't import test results and lab work yet as they don’t import in a consistent format that you’d be able to read and use. We know those are an important part of what you use from your medical records and we're working hard to expand what you can sync with KinKeeper.
What this means for you: No more manually entering medical history, conditions, medication lists, and more! KinKeeper will seamlessly import it all from your healthcare providers so you have everything in one secure place.
Here's how to get started:
- Open the Info tab on any profile in the KinKeeper app and tap "Medical Records."
- Tap "Import New Medical Record" and search for your provider.
- Heads up: You'll need to directly log in to your provider's EMR portal with your username and password. (Don't have portal access? No worries! Contact your provider to set it up before starting these steps.)
- Select the information you want to import into KinKeeper.
- That's it! The app will import the data in the background while you use it normally.
We know this isn't perfect yet, but it's a big step forward! We understand some providers might not be available at this moment, either because they lack a patient portal or haven't been integrated.

- If your healthcare provider is missing and you have access to their patient portal, let us know! Shoot an email to hello@kithandkin.app with the provider name, and we'll work on adding them.
