PHILADELPHIA, Penn. — Kith + Kin, a leading female-founded health tech company, announced the launch of KinKeeper, a revolutionary mobile app designed to be a digital health wallet for people to manage, organize, and share health information for themselves and their loved ones. KinKeeper puts consumers in complete control of their health journey while empowering them to better manage the well-being of the people they care for and about.
“KinKeeper is the term for that person playing air traffic control for all the appointments and reminders and central intelligence, making sure everyone knows what they need to know when they need to know it,” said Jill Michal, CEO and Co-Founder of Kith + Kin. “We designed our app to support all the KinKeepers out there because we know that this person is the glue holding it all together for themselves and all the people who depend on them.”
KinKeeper goes beyond simply storing health information. It enables people to create health histories for people, conditions, or journeys in a way that works best for them. The app offers features that mirror the way people manage information in real life – things like making notes, taking pictures, storing documents, contacts, and other information that helps people tell their side of the story.
Additionally, the app is designed to help people “share the load” of caregiving, offering the flexibility to share some information with some people and other information with other people, the way you do in real life. Starting in April, new features will be launched that enable people to assign to-do’s or ask for help so that the entire responsibility doesn’t fall on only the KinKeeper. All of these features serve to empower consumers in their own healthcare and to help them be more effective advocates for those they care for and about.
KinKeeper simplifies the consumer health journey in several ways, including:
- Effortless Onboarding: A guided introduction ensures a smooth setup and ongoing guidance helps users add new info without feeling overwhelmed by the process.
- Flexible Organization: Customizable Topics and Tags allow for simple categorization of health info.
- Seamless Information Input: Users can add details in various ways, from typing and voice-to-text to uploading files and images.
- Personalized Information View: Flexible filtering and sorting options allow users to view health data based on topic, date, priority, or any other criteria that suit their needs.
- Push Notifications & Reminders: Timely push notifications and the ability to flag important items for follow-up ensure that users never miss time-sensitive info.
- Offline Accessibility: Users maintain access to their health story even without an internet connection. Add info and view existing data anytime, anywhere.
- Targeted Sharing: Users can share some information with some people and other information with other people - the way they do in real life.
KinKeeper is currently available for download for iOS and Android. The app is free for all until mid-April, at which point non-emergency features will only be included in the premium version.
